the consolidation of the “cherry red” cattle within the industry and we have earned the reputation as one of the most progressive and successful multi-vendor sale groups of the Santa Gertrudis breed today.  Membership today totals over 50 with bulls at our sale coming from as far south as Tamworth in NSW, Cunnamulla in western QLD and Longreach in central QLD. All vendors adhere to a quality assurance code established over the years by presenting only classified “S” bulls, the only sale within the breed to do so. This is an important factor in generating buyer confidence and repeat purchases.

   In recent times our sale has comprised of approximately 100 bulls being sold during “AG Show” at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. This venue has provided us with an incredible opportunity to showcase our cattle and our breed group at one of the largest Agricultural Field Days in Australia.

  It has been my ambition as president to maintain our group’s high profile so as to provide not only profitability to all vendors at the sale but to also attract new and enthusiastic membership from the next generation of this countries cattle seed-stock producers.

   The years past have laid proof to the Big S success, the years ahead will see the group adapt to the exciting challenges of the cattle industry.”
